2010 Brings Bad News for Rothbury
Michigan is home to one of the largest music festivals known to date. The festival is a 3 day event that brings people together from all over the country to share their common love of music. It is an all ages celebration which allows for all members of ones family to enjoy as well as giving others the opportunity to meet new people while dancing and having the time of their lives. Last year anxious fans of the popular music festival, Rothbury, waited in anticipation for the announcement of Rothbury ’09. Rumors had been spread among the thousands of festival attendees of a cancellation of the event due to financial troubles. All their fears were laid to rest when the Rothbury line up, dates, and tickets prices were posted via their website. This year; however, the Rothbury website is a bearer of bad news.
Despite their efforts to gather the same artists that normally perform at the event, the clashing schedules of various bands meant many would not be able to attend. Rather then have a mediocre line-up for 2010 the owners of the Double JJ Ranch decided it would be best to hold off until next year. Regretfully, the loyal patrons of Rothbury will have to spend their fourth of July weekends without music from the ranch.
Although on the positive side, everyone who turnouts for Rothbury 2011 can be sure they will be witness to one of the best performances to have taken place at this locale. There are other music festivals taking place during the summer months that individuals who appreciate music can attend. These festivals include Summercamp, Bonnaroo, Wakarusa, Moe.down, and All Good. There is never a shortage of good music so despite this bad news get out there and enjoy it!
